It's C64 month!

by Paul Morrison

August is C64 month!  Who actually decided that?  Somebody, somewhere must have arbitrarily decided to christen August as such, and was probably delighted that it caught on.  I'm not bothered how it happened, all I know is that it gives us a reason to celebrate one of our favourite machines openly for a whole month!

I will be doing just that, and I think I will do so by writing about my favourite C64 games over the course of the month.  It's been a long time since I wrote any review-style pieces for my website... now seems like a good time to get back to it.

Fifty per cent of us loved this.

Fifty per cent of us loved this.

Of course, that's not very nice for Spectrum fans (or BBC, Amstrad, MSX, Dragon, Oric or whatever fans), but I'm afraid you'll just have to grin and bear it.  If it's any consolation, I'm writing questions for a Spectrum programmer right now.  Oh, and I'll be reviewing Colin Jones' recent remake of Slightly Magic.  That was a bit of a Spectrum classic.

But yes, it's fair to say there will be a bit more of a Commodore leaning throughout August.  I'll try not to be too obnoxious about it, and hopefully you might even enjoy some of it!
