2014 was a good year for They Were Our Gods... in the main. I've pulled in some fantastic interviews, some of which are with people I guarantee you've either never heard from before or haven't heard from in many, many years. They've given me some great material, and ensured that this book gets stronger and stronger all the time in terms of content.
I can't promise that it will be the prettiest book. You've probably bought or seen some of the books that are out there at the moment, and they look tremendous. I'm not a graphic artist so I can't match them on that score. What I can guarantee is that I will have mountains of fascinating text for you to read from a great cross-section of talented folks.
The end of 2014 has seen things slow down quite a bit, unfortunately. Illness throughout the family (nothing remotely serious, just constant and niggly) has seen me either not well or looking after those not well. This is what comes of having a child start school, I suppose!
Still, hopefully 2015 will ring in a clean bill of health all round. I already have some more brilliant interviewees lined up, and I'll be getting questions out to them pretty quickly. I would love to get this book finished and out there by the end of 2015 if possible... but to do that, I might have to re-evaluate its scope a little. I have a few ideas in mind there, which I will be considering over time. I may also have a little something of interest for Commodore 64 fans in the pipeline... there may be more on that soon!
Have a great New Year, and I'll see you in 2015!
